Whether you agree with this or not, there are arguments to be made about whether or not a child should have a cellular phone at school. Listed below are some positives aspects of allowing your child to take a cell phone to school.

Some of the benefits of allowing your child to take a cell phone to school include the following:

* In case of an emergency, a cell phone provides a means to communicate with your child easily and instantly. This helps provide great peace of mind as well.

* With a personal phone, your child can reach you in case of an unexpected early dismissal due to inclement weather, power outages, or ay other random occurrence.

cell phone* You can schedule a pickup time and location and keep your child posted if you’re running late. On the other side, children can also keep you abreast of their situation and whereabouts.

* In today’s age of technology, it’s much easier and more practical to contact your child directly rather than calling the office and having them page your child or relay a message that may or not be received in a timely manner.

* Most new cellular phones can operate silently so you can reach your child without interrupting any classroom activities. Just be sure to make your child’s teacher aware that your son or daughter may be using their phone if required.

So having reviewed some of the benefits, make sure you know the negatives of allowing your child to take a cell phone to school before you make any final decisions on the matter.
